Your body is the holy temple, as the Bible says...

As we flip over the newspaper, we see countless of advertisement on weight loss, skin peel, facial restructure .. are these really the ultimate means of caring for our body? Are these what our body deserves? Try put yourself in your 'body' shoes and think about it .. Let's do some imagination here..

The stomach says this, 'Oh my .. what am I being stuffed with now .. er... chicken skin.. Yuck! pork fat .. oh.. now there comes this horrible tasting pills that claim to take away fat but as a matter of fat, the pills are corroding our fellow liver, poor liver friend, I am so sorry that I cant help'

The liver says, 'Its okay, I'm already at a critical stage, plus you cant do much to help, we are both in the same boat, or body, shall I say, few years back, when she starts wanting slimmer body, I am countinuously corroded by pills, liquid which I take up whole day to detoxify, one batch finishes, another batch comes.. Im becoming weaker and weaker... '

The skin says, 'Hey guys, you never thought about me huh? As you goes weaker and weaker, I suffer more and more, look at me! I look horrible, there are zits, there are holes, there are blackheads, whiteheads, red dots.. gosh ... i cant finish counting, she apply those heavy coat of 'expensive' 'branded' creams, lotions, on me everyday.. I cant even breath! No wonder I get more and more inflammed!'

The brain says, 'Stop the noise people, I'm trying to get some rest, I have been working from 10 in the morning to 12 midnight and am still working, she cant seem to rest, I dunno what I am doing, I am forgetting things, I am getting frustrated, I am going out of my mind, I want to SWITCH OFF!'

So these are just little noises from our body. Many times said but unheard. Have you ever wonder how to give your body a real treat? How to let your body enjoy? It is so true that the bible quoted our body as the holy temple. Our body should be treated with respect, with honor, with love.

Stop eating junk, food that are nutrients-less, they are doing no good to our body but harm. Our body takes longer time to digest food that are fatty, calorific and zero in fiber.

Start exercising, start sweating, sweat out the toxins in your body. Shake your booty, lash out the stress!

Go Sauna! The heat raises the body temperature and boost the circulation. Get rosy!

Rest and relax! Your body needs a break from the constant non-stop work. Get away from the city, go to the green, breath in fresh air!

Trust me, when you start treating your body well, you would start feeling afresh. You may not even need to go for skin peel, or spending hundreds of dollars on buying expensive skin care products. Research quoted that people who sleep and rest well have more radiant and shining skin than those who don’t. Stressful people have horrible looking skin texture of dull color.

So, as you work towards your big goals, your million dollar target, ahead of you, don’t forget to treat your body! Give your body what it deserves the most…

In 2005, Kimchi, a traditional Korean dish, was voted as one of world’s top 5 healthiest foods in the planet by the American Health Magazine. What makes the most common dish in Korea so special?

It was believed that the Korean tradition of eating Kimchi started more than 3,000 years ago, which explains the existence of a Kimchi Museum in Korea.

An interesting survey reported that a typical Korean would eat on average 65,000 bowls of Kimchi throughout their entire lifespan.

There have been many beneficial effects related to the Korean’s habit of eating plentiful of Kimchi as their staple dish, including maintaining a healthy digestive and intestinal system, preventing constipation and colon cancer and even preventing the onset of obesity, diabetes and skin disorder.

According to research by National Cancer Institute, colon cancer accounts for 59% Korean men if compared to 81% Alaskan men. Korean ladies also have the lowest breast cancer incidence rate among ladies of other nations. The report even stated that the oral cavity cancer among the Koreans is so few that statistics can’t be generated.

Other than its anti-cancer properties, Kimchi is also well-known for its immune enhancing property. For the past few years, when the Asian regions are bombarded with the Avian Flu scare, Korea is the only country in the region unaffected. No cases of bird flu nor SARS had been reported. Many scientists had reported that this may due to the kimchi-eating habits of the Koreans.

Some may not 100% agree with the theory of ‘eating Kimchi would prevent bird flu’, but it is undoubted that the Korean eating habit plays an important role in maintaining a lower cancer rate and SARS incidence in Korea. Other than Kimchi, Koreans also take green tea and seaweeds dishes on a daily basis.

Well-fermented Kimchi has anti-biotic functions as the lactic acid bacteria (probiotics) produced in the process of Kimchi fermentation suppresses growth of harmful bacteria in our body. Our body sustains growth of over 400 trillion of bacteria, both good and harmful bacteria. Good bacteria, which are lactic acid bacteria, ensure good health. In order to prevent harmful bacteria from multiplying in our body, which creates damage to the digestive system and increasing demand on the liver and kidneys leading to various diseases, it is paramount that we take in rich sources of  live ‘friendly bacteria’ (probiotics).

Kimchi is one of the fermented vegetables with highest count of lactic acid bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria were scientifically proven to block the increase of harmful bacteria in internal organs and improve digestion by normalizing the distribution of microbes in internal organs. The incidence of constipation is especially low when one is able to maintain a healthy ratio of good and bad bacteria in their intestines.

In addition, the lactic acid bacteria are effective in preventing the development of diseases such as obesity, diabetes and gastrointestinal cancers. Maintaining a healthy pH level in our blood is also an elixir that can anti-age and boost skin radiance.

Scientists determined that there are many negative effects that stem from the lack of good bacteria, including the lack of recirculation of female hormones, such as estrogen and the over-growth of estrogen and the production of toxins in the gastrointestinal tract, which contributes to psoriasis and other skin condition. A shortage of good bacteria also allows partially digested proteins to enter the blood stream, contributing to allergy, nervous system disorder, rheumatoid arthritis and a variety of other immune system disorder. Good bacteria can be essential to maintaining optimal immune health in pregnant women and lactating mothers and their children.

It is Friday today. But Friday ain't my fav day anymore, as I still need to work on Sat, . Nevermind, less a day of spending money.

But tomorrow will be different. I am leaving for a beach, Tiara, with colleagues from work. We're helping out at a holiday camp. I am anticipating it to be fun, but colleagues affirm me not.

Shall be there for a night and back on Sunday evening. Weather forecast predicted thunderstorm. Hm.. thunderstorm and the beach.. should be a different experience.

Didot is cooking today. Havent had home cooked meal for ages. Looking forward to it.

Also, I am looking for music composer. Self- composed music wanted. Compiling a number of self-composed music for analysis purposes. Please let me know if interested.
